conwy golf club, coastal north wales Conwy golf club is regarded as one of the toughest courses in North Wales. Set out between the Conwy Estuary and the surrounding mountains of Snowdonia National Park, it is a big bear of a links course. It is a little flat in places, with subtle undulations providing great character. Thick gorse lines a number of holes and the approach shots can be quite tough, depending on the weather conditions. The club has hosted several major championships, including the 2004 R&A Boys Championship and was a final qualifying course for the Open Championship in 2006.
