Conwy golf club is regarded as one of the toughest courses in North Wales. Set out between the Conwy Estuary and the surrounding mountains of Snowdonia National Park, it is a big bear of a links course. It is a little flat in places, with subtle undulations providing great character. Thick gorse lines a number of holes and the approach shots can be quite tough, depending on the weather conditions. The club has hosted several major championships, including the 2004 R&A Boys Championship and was a final qualifying course for the Open Championship in 2006.
