Baron Hill is one of the oldest golf courses in the country, having been designed in the late 1880s by Sir Richard Williams Bulkeley. He clearly knew the value of the right setting: from its elevated position you see right down the Anglesey coast, with breathtaking panoramic views across the Menai Straits to Snowdonia. This mature course winds its way through a number of natural hazards including plenty fairway gorse, so don’t take any shot for granted. It’s a thinking golfers course with a warm and welcoming family atmosphere, so is well worth a visit.
